The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish, grips, class "D" factory engraving, and a shipment date of November 14, 1980, to Pacific International Merchandising Corp. of Sacramento, California. The revolver has standard factory markings and finely executed floral and scroll engraving from the muzzle to the butt. The grips are hand carved with the Rampant Colt and Federal Eagle pattern and have fine checkering. The back of each grip panel is numbered to the gun, and the grip frame is marked "COLT ENG".

Excellent with 99% original blue and casehardened finishes remaining showing light handling marks overall and just a hint of a drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with crisp carving and hairline age cracks on the butt of the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
