Description:

Standard lock and sights, stacking front sling swivels, two piece trigger guard with swivel, "1873" marked low arch breechblock, "SWP/1886" cartouche, "50" ahead of the faint script "P" (the latter is raised rather than stamped) by the lower tang, "US" and "27" marked buttplate, and a blued socket bayonet.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 50% original finish including a bright patch of original case colors on the upper tang, light spotting, brown and gray patina, and various minor marks. The stock is fine and has numerous small dents and scrapes and a fresh chip in the left side of the butt. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet retains 85% plus blue finish and has mild storage type wear.
