Both rifle's have primarily the standard markings and features and include a muzzle cover and Rock Island Arsenal marked leather sling. "A" has an "1896" dated cartouche but is too late of a serial number to be a first year rifle, and "B" has no visible cartouche.

Very good with traces of the fading original blue finish and case colors, some minor spotting, typical scratches and dings throughout, and some small surface chips in the otherwise very good wood. Mechanically excellent.

Good as arsenal refurbished with 30% plus finish, minor marks, and some slight spotting/faint pitting. The refinished wood is good and has some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
