Manufactured in 1874 with the scarce short 1 1/2 inch barrel and a factory engraving. A floral scroll engraving on a punch dot background is featured on the sides of the frame at the rear and front. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT." The patent date is marked on the top strap. The barrel is numbered to the gun. Fitted with smooth rosewood grips.

Good. The barrel and cylinder retain a smooth artificial brown patina mixed with some minor pitting. The frame retains 70% of the period replated silver finish. The refinished grips are fine with a couple of very minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
