Manufactured circa 1857 to 1860. Standard one line address on top of the barrel rib. Patent marking on the cylinder and serial number on the butt. Blade front and notch rear sights, blue barrel and cylinder and fitted with smooth rosewood grips.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel and cylinder have a smooth brownish gray patina with strong traces of the original blue finish mostly in protected areas. The frame retains 90% original silver with some scattered blistering and a number of dings and tool marks on the front, upper sides. There are a number of scratches around the side plate screw isolated to the right side. The grips are very good with 80% original varnish remaining, some minor dings and chips along the bottom edge and on the bottom. The action needs work. There is a little play in the barrel hinge.
