Manufactured in 1970, this two barrel set consists of two 12 gauge sets. Both sets have white front and mid bead sights on the matte vent ribs marked "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER". Both have a 2 3/4 inch wedge of floral scroll engraving on the breech end, Winchester proofed with jeweled flats, lugs, ejectors and breech face, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and choked WS-1 and WS-2 on the 28 inch set, (currently on the gun), and marked "2" on the lug and improved modified/full on the other, marked "1" on the lug. Each has its own extra fancy full fluer-de-lis hand checkered beavertail forearm with ebony forend insert and scroll engraved and jeweled hardware. Both sets are marked with the matching serial number on the flats and on the forearm hardware and wood. The forearms are also marked "1" and "2". Each barrel flat is marked with two Winchester oval proofs, and the barrels are Winchester Proof Steel marked. The top rear of the left barrel is on both sets is marked "MODEL 21 WINCHESTER 12 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM./MADE IN NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A." The action features extensive floral scroll with the same pattern on the break lever and trigger guard. Each side of the action features an oval panel with a gold inlaid hunting dog in a field scene, two gold inlaid pheasants in a field scene in a circle on the bottom, and the trigger guard has a gold inlaid dog's head. The water table is jeweled, Winchester proofed and marked with "MADE IN U.S.A." "MODEL 21" over the address. Single gold trigger with selector, tang mounted manual safety and mounted with a nicely figured Fluer-de-Lis checkered walnut pistol grip stock with engraved, gold inlaid wire bordered, and gold inlaid "GRAND/AMERICAN" metal grip cap, vented Winchester recoil pad and gold initial oval. The set is complete in a hard leather Winchester takedown case with leather corner protectors, straps and handle and wine colored felt lining. Also comes with a canvas cover. Winchester label on the inside of the lid and maroon felt lining. The bore diameter of both sets of barrels is .732/.732 with a wall thickness of .034. Drop at the heel is 1 7/8 inches, drop at the comb is 1 1/8 inches, and the length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. The accompanying factory letter verifies all of the features with a completion date of October 23, 1970, and finished inspection date of November 2, 1970.

Excellent with 99% plus original blue finish remaining, showing only light handling/storage marks overall and some minor scuffing of the breech face from opening and closing of the action. The case is fine with some stains and minor scuffs on the exterior and some very minor contact wear on the lining. The protective canvas/leather cover is very good with some stains, some corner wear and a portion of the zipper torn away from the fabric.
