This rifle was manufactured in 1918, long after the factory quit keeping records on this model. It is equipped with a unique barrel. The barrel marking is of the type designated 06-6 used after 1926. The oval "P" proofmark indicates that it was a factory replacement barrel. The unique part of the barrel is the caliber. It has the separate caliber marking used with the 06-6 address but has the marking "SMOOTH BORE" between the address and the caliber. The sights are standard for a rifle of this period with a dovetailed blade front sight and a screw adjust 30B rear sight. The buttplate is the standard 06 buttplate with the "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK" in a circle in the center.

Very fine as factory rebarreled, with 85% of the original bright blue finish remaining with very minor scattered light scratches and faint spotting. There is some wear on the magazine tube, action, slide, and muzzle, with flaking on top of the bolt and action slide cover. The wood is also excellent with minor scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
