This rifle replaced the Model 1903 in 1933 and is considered by many to be the best semi-automatic rimfire rifle ever produced. Manufactured in 1941, this example has a dovetailed beaded blade front and elevation adjustable sporting rear sights. There is tang mounted short range peep sight. All markings are as standard including the Winchester oval proof on top of the receiver and barrel at the breech. Mounted with a deluxe checkered forearm and stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and steel crescent buttplate.

Very fine as restored. The rifle retains 98% blue finish with some very minor muzzle wear, a few very small and minor spots of oxidation on the right rear of the receiver and a few minor scratches on the upper left side of the receiver. The refinished highly figured wood is also very fine with only a few minor handling marks and sharp recut checkering. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
