Only approximately 5,704 Model 65 rifles were manufactured between 1933 and 1947. Few were manufactured in .218 Bee after it was introduced into the line in 1937-39. This example has the standard markings, a ramped hooded beaded blade front sight, a rear sight filler block, and a bolt mounted adjustable peep sight. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent plus. The rifle retains 98% plus original blue finish showing a mix of blue finish and gray patina on the buttplate and the lever thinning to a brown. The wood is also excellent with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional example of a high condition Winchester Model 65 lever action rifle chambered in desirable .218 Bee. One will look a long time to find another example in this high condition!
