Manufactured in 1917 with standard fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights, two-line address and patent marking on top of the barrel, and the model and caliber marking on the left side. Fitted with a smooth trigger and checkered hammer. The back strap is marked "RNWMP2055", and the butt is stamped "MP" indicating purchase and issue to the Canadian Royal Northwest Mounted Police, a forerunner of the current Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Fitted with checkered grips with "COLT" at the top and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Fine. 75% plus original blue finish remains with edge and high point wear, surface scratches throughout, small dings, and handling marks overall. The grips are fine with some small dings, clear markings, and well defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
