Manufactured in 1927, this is one of a limited number of Parker Bros. shotguns commissioned by Pachmayr Gun Works to be completely refurbished and custom embellished in the early 1970s. This particular shotgun was also donated by the Pachmayr family to Ducks Unlimited. The barrels are blue, the action and trigger guard are French gray and the remaining metal parts are casehardened. There are dual bead sights on the concave matte solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CT. INVINCIBLE BY PACHMAYR", (the last 3 words gold inlaid) with inward pointing arrows at each end. 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked full/full with ejectors. The breech end of the barrels feature a 3 1/2 inch wedge of floral and scroll pattern engraving, with a gold inlaid game bird and accents on each side. And a 1 1/4 inch simple gold inlaid line pattern on the muzzle end sides. There are thin gold inlaid wire bands around the breech and muzzle ends. The action, trigger guard, skeletonized break lever and forearm hardware are engraved with scroll and floral designs. The action also has a gold inlaid relief pheasant on the left side, a duck on the right side, and a gold inlaid relief turkey on the underside ahead of the trigger guard. The underside front of the receiver is gold inlaid "PARKER BROS" with a gold inlaid wire border. There are also silver inlaid flowers and gold inlaid accents on the receiver. The upper tang also has a cross hatching pattern. The serial number on the lower tang is gold inlaid as is the "SAFE" on the upper tang. The matching serial number is also marked on the water table and on the forearm hardware. Double triggers, trigger guard has a cut through diamond design flanked by teardrops and tang mounted automatic safety. The forearm and pistol grip stock are matching checkered highly figured walnut with very fine checkering with fancy Fluer-de-Lis bordering. The grip cap is horn with a gold oval inscribed "DONATED BY/NAN & FRANK/PACHMAYR/TO/DUCKS UNLIMITED" and has a Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. Shotgun measurements are: Bore diameter 9 inches from the breech .690/.690, wall thickness is .325/.325, drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches, overall weight is 7.15 lbs. and the length of pull is 14 5/8 inches.

Near mint as masterfully custom embellished. 99% plus blue finish remains on the barrels, 99% of the French gray finish remains and 99% casehardened finish remains on the forearm hardware. All of the gold inlay remains. There are only a few light handling marks on the stock, and some light handling/storage marks. Mechanically fine.
