This massive English fowling piece features a single bead sight, standard English proofs on the underside of the barrel and flats, and fine scroll engraving just forward of the breech. The casehardened receiver has a single "crown/BNP" proof on the water table, decorative border engraving, and fine scroll around the screws and on the tangs, and a coarse checkered under lever. Mounted on a wedge fastened checkered forearm with a horn cap and pistol grip stock with a Parker Hale sling swivel, silver initial oval, and a checkered horn buttplate. The stock measurements are: drop at comb 2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches; weight 19 Lbs. 1.6 Oz.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 75% of the refurbished brown finish on the barrel, light surface scratches, and small patches of mild pitting. The receiver has an overall gray patina with patches of light pitting, spotting, and scratches. Several screws show marring on the heads, and the center lower tang screw is a replacement. The wood is fine with a chip on the right side of the forearm, well-defined checkering, and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent.
