Famars shotguns are one of the world's finest made and were available on a custom order basis only. Production of these fine shotguns ceased in 2012. The barrels feature a single brass bead sight on a solid matte rib with two small wedges of floral leaf engraving on the breech end, 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors and improved cylinder/modified chokes. The upper left side of the barrels is marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli" in script lettering. The left rear of the upper barrel is marked "CAM. 70," and the lower barrel is marked "KG1,290". Each marking is followed by "16,0" and the Brescia acceptance proof. The barrel flat is marked "20.70/A&S F0355 A&S" and three Italian proofmarks. The action, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware are engraved with a floral scroll design on a punch dot background. To the right of the trigger guard is signed "D. BONSI" (Diego Bonsi). Each side of the frame is marked "ABBIATICO & SALVINELLI" in a banner, and the underside of the frame is marked "EXCALIBUR - ROUND" in a banner. The barrels, forearm and forearm hardware are numbered to the gun. The barrels are blue and the remaining parts have a coin finish. The action has a single trigger and a tang mounted safety with gold "SAFE." Mounted on a beautifully figured extra fancy multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock featuring a finely checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 14 3/4 inch length of pull; 1 1/4 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel. The shotgun weighs 6 pounds and 9 ounces. The bore diameter is .630 inch, and the wall thickness is .036 inch. Comes with a leather bound combination lock case featuring leather corner protectors and red felt lining, oiler, pair of 20 gauge nickel plated snap caps and three piece bore rod with attachments.

Excellent. The shotgun retains 99% plus of the original blue and coin finishes showing a spot of gray on the lower barrel ahead of the forearm. The wood is also excellent showing a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with a detached partitioned wall for the oiler.
