Famars shotguns are one of the world's finest made and were available on a custom order basis only. Production of these fine shotguns ceased in 2012. The barrels feature a single bead sight on a solid matte rib with scroll engraving over the chambers, 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors and improved modified/full chokes. The upper left side of the barrels is marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli" in script lettering. The left rear of both barrels are marked "14,1" along with the Brescia acceptance proof. The barrel flat is marked "28.70/A&S F0788 A&S" and three Italian proofmarks. The stock grip cap, action, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware are engraved with a rosette and scroll design. To the right of the trigger guard is signed "C. Marocchi." The underside of the frame is marked "EXCALIBUR" in gold. The barrels, forearm, forearm hardware and trigger guard tang are numbered to the gun. The barrels are blue, and the remaining parts have a coin finish. The action has a single trigger and an automatic tang mounted safety with gold "SAFE." Mounted on a beautifully figured extra fancy multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock featuring a blank initial oval and finely checkered bare butt. Stock measurements are 14 7/8 inch length of pull; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel. The shotgun weighs 6 pounds and 7.9 ounces. Comes with a plastic Famars combination takedown case, and a pair of action springs.

Excellent. The barrels retain 99% plus original blue finish showing the typical takedown marks. The remaining surfaces retain nearly all of the original coin finish showing oxidation on the inside of the trigger guard and trigger. The wood is also excellent showing limited minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
