This is an outstanding example of an extremely rare deluxe special order ornamentally engraved Italian F.lli Rizzini double barreled shotgun. This specific shotgun is a Model 57 and is termed the "Lusso Grade" or the best Luxury grade available. This beautiful shotgun was hand built in 1975 at the Rizzini factory in Magno Val Trompia, Italy and features 100% deep relief hand cut floral engraving on the entire action including the side plates, the complete receiver, trigger guard bow, lower tang and forend attaching metal. This beautiful engraving was cut by the Master Italian Engraver "GIAN" and is so marked on the lower right side of the trigger guard plate. (Reportedly, engraving today could run well into the high five-digit figures alone!) The shotgun has been fitted with a beautiful set of deluxe Turkish grown English walnut stock and forend blank that shows 100% deluxe high grade figure throughout on both pieces. The stock is a straight grip English pattern that features deluxe extra fine (probably 32 lines per inch) checkering on both sides of the grip area. Stock and bore dimensions: 14 1/2 inch length of pull (over a Pachmayr Decelerator pad); 1 3/16 inch drop at the comb; 1 5/8 inch drop at the heel; cast on 3/8 inches; toe out 1/2 inches; bore .628 inch; wall thickness .043 inch; and chokes gauge modified cylinder (right) and improved modified (left). The forend is a wide beavertail type pattern that has a matching deluxe figure throughout with the same extremely fine checkering overall. The barrels are approximately 28 inches long and feature a raised solid steel rib with a matte surface on top that has a single gold bead front sight. The top of the barrels are hand engraved with "F. lli Rizzini" and "in Magno VT." and the engraving has original gold filled wire. The underside of both barrels are stamped "VICKERS STEEL", the right barrel is marked "KG1, 2.2, 15.3/15.9" and the left side is marked "15.0/ 15.9". The right water table is stamped with various Italian firing proofmarks with the factory name "F. lli Rizzini". It has matching serial numbers on the barrels, receiver and forend and forend attaching iron. This beautiful shotgun is cased in a deluxe leather bound seven compartment oak storage case made by the "Huey Gun Case Company" which is so marked on the front edge of the lid. The interior has seven individual compartments with oak dividers all covered in beautiful dark forest green lining. In the case are two nickel plated snap caps, brass oiler, an ebony handled chamber brush with brass cover protector, small screwdriver and a horse hair brush. The barrel compartment also contains a two-piece hardwood cleaning rod.

Near new with 99% of the original blue finish overall with the complete action remaining in the factory high polished coin type finish. The stock and forend are beautiful with phenomenal wood grain and deluxe hand checkering that is excellent with minimal handling marks. The case and various accessories are also excellent overall, with this entire lot looking like it is unfired.
