Manufactured in Brescia, Italy, Famars shotguns are some of the worlds finest made and were available on a custom order basis only. The company ceased production in 2012. This very fine shotgun features very intricate highly detailed game scenes on each lock and on the underside of the receiver, as well as fine English scroll patterns. The left side is a wooded scene with a setter and flushing pheasant, the right side has a setter and flushing grouse in a wooded/field scene, and two woodcock in flight are on the underside of the receiver. The break lever, trigger guard, tangs and forearm hardware have fine English scroll patterns. The lower left front of the receiver is signed "FG" and the right front is signed "F Galeazzi. There is a single steel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked cylinder/modified and ejectors. The top of the left barrel near the breech is marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli". The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang, water table, barrel flat and on the forearm hardware. Blue barrels, satin grey remaining parts, single trigger, tang mounted manual safety, and mounted with a very nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm with a gold inset A&S shield logo on the underside, and straight grip stock with teardrop flats and checkered bare butt. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches, drop at the heel is 1 7/8 inches and drop at the comb is 1 1/4 inches. Comes with a hard leather takedown case with leather corner protectors, straps and handle and red lining with a leather A&S label affixed to the inside of the lid. In the case are two nickel snap caps, a nickel oiler (all 3 have a gray frosty residue on them), three ebony handled screwdrivers, a three piece cleaning rod and three cleaning rod attachments.

Near new with only light handling/storage marks. The case is excellent with a few minor scratches on the exterior and some minor stains, a small tear and some minor contact wear to the lining.
