Description:

Constructed from dark blue canvas with leather straps and leather reinforced flaps, this magazine pouch is designed to carry three Sturmgewehr magazines on the left side of the body. No Waffenamt or unit markings are present as like on most others. Three magazines are included, one "fxo" maker marked and branded "Mkb42/u.MP43" for the early StG development models, a "kur/WaA815" marked "MP44" magazine (from when the StG was operational under the fiction of being a machine pistol), and a "StG44" marked magazine with a Czech "E(lion)46" inspection mark. Formerly of the George Petersen Collection, with a note that Petersen acquired the pouch in East Germany shortly after reunification in 1990.

Rating Definition:

Good overall, with some staining and wear overall. The leather shows some light cracking and scuffs, but generally remains strong and supple, with a few sections of loose/absent stitching. All three magazines show some light wear and spotting, and while not test-loaded, they appear to have strong springs. Would make a fine addition to a collection of WWII or Cold War era accoutrements or be just the thing to mate with a live, dewat, or reproduction Sturmgewehr.
