Description:

Manufactured in 1937. These Swiss Lugers differ from the more common German model in several ways, notably the straight grip angle, long grips safety yoked around both the left and right sides of the grip frame, smooth toggle knobs, smooth thumb safety, and rebated barrel extension to match the barrel shoulder. The manufacture date "4 37" is stamped in the frame well under the takedown lever. The barrel shoulder is marked with the full serial number and the "BP" Bernerprobe proof. The front toggle is stamped with the Geneva Cross and shield emblem, and the rear toggle is stamped with the serial number. All visible numbers match. The left side of the frame is stamped with the serial number and a "cross/M" proof. The right side frame rail is stamped "P.'60" indicating it was sold privately out of military service. A plastic base magazine with a singe "BP" proof on the spine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 95% plus of the blue finish remains with a slight plum hue on the front toggle, light edge wear, handling marks overall, and a few small nicks and dings. The grips are also excellent with a few light blemishes on the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
