Manufactured in 1914. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" (serifed) on the right, with a "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked, "WGP" (Penfield) inspected frame. Fitted with a flat top rear sight, wide knurled hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, flat lanyard staple magazine housing, checkered hardwood grips and a "P H" marked Colt barrel. With four extra magazines and a spare recoil spring.

Very fine, with 75% plus bright original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the grip straps, bright gray along the edges and at the front of the slide, some light spotting and scattered handling marks. The grips are also very fine, with some minor dings. The magazines are of mixed vintage, some showing heavier spotting. Mechanically excellent.
