Description:

Made in 1944. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. High Standard barrel, checkered stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated arched mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 99% of the original factory parkerized finish, showing some light scratches and wear overall. The magazine has criss cross scratches along the front. Grips are excellent, with some marring of the screws. Mechanically excellent.
