Manufactured about 1952-1954, with a matching numbered alloy construction cylinder an alloy frame with a steel recoil bushing. The barrel is marked "AIRWEIGHT" on the right side, with a four line address on the frame, S&W logo on the 5-screw side plate, and S&W medallion grips. "REVOLVER, LIGHTWEIGHT, M13" and "Property of U.S. Air Force" are marked on the top strap and back strap, and the left side of the frame just above the trigger guard is stamped "P." The USAF M13 Airweight is noted as having been produced in a range of "C247000" to "C405363", and were destroyed en masse after being retired from service. With a black leather flap holster marked "USAF" on the flap, "55D3513" on the body and "FULTON" hand-marked on the interior.

Fine as restored, with 90% plus refinished finish, with some minor spotting on the barrel, edge wear on the frame and cylinder, and mild handling marks overall. A few spots of verdigris are present on the grips, and the holster shows some light scuffs and wear. Mechanically fine.
