Only 11 Longhorn Special Edition revolvers were manufactured in 1985. They are extremely hard to acquire today. This is number 3 and would have been the second manufactured with a black powder frame. It is marked with "-TEXAS LONGHORNS 44-40-" on the left side of the barrel, the one-line address on top, "-THE OLD BREED-" on the right side, the three-line patent markings on the left side of the black powder style frame, and matching serial numbers. The back strap is inscribed "Alton J. Nini Jr." The glass top oak display case includes a key and a matching box. The factory wood grain box has matching details on the end label.

Excellent overall. 99% plus original blue finish and case colors remain. There are only light handling and storage marks throughout and some minor spotting on the sides of the hammer. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with moderate storage wear and a taped end label. The case is excellent. These Longhorn Special Editions are so rare that this is the first we have ever offered!
