Description:

Manufactured in 1907 and chambered in the very scarce 38 Colt caliber. It is estimated that only 412 First Generation Colt Bisley Model revolvers were chambered in Colt 38 caliber. Standard one line Hartford address stamped on top of the barrel, the left side of the barrel is marked (BISLEY MODEL) 38 COLT", and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and the assembly number "790" on the loading gate. Blue with casehardened frame and hammer. Blade front, frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Visible numbers on the inside of the grip panels indicate they are nonmatching.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 80% bright original high polish blue finish with some muzzle and high point wear, some thinning on the ejector rod housing, cylinder and grip straps, a cylinder drag line, and overall some minor scratches and handling marks. 70% of the original vivid case colors remain on the frame and hammer with areas of smooth gray patina. The grips are excellent with a small "#" on the bottom of the left panel and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
