Manufactured in 1903. This is an excellent example of a blue frame Second Model takedown variation of the Model 1890. The rifle has a dovetail blade front sight and an adjustable elevation rear sight on a barrel marked with the two-line address/patent marking ahead of the rear sight and "22 W.R.F." at the breech. All barrel markings are on the top flat. The upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER/-MODEL 1890-/PAT. JUNE 26. 88. DEC. 6. 92." The lower tang has the serial number. Mounted on a 12 groove round walnut forearm and straight grip stock with casehardened crescent steel buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the caliber. The rifle was received in the warehouse on 8 April 1903 and shipped on 15 April 1903 on order number 183386.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown and some wear on the slide bar. The buttplate retains 97% original case colors with an area of minor pitting. The wood is also excellent with a few minor pressure dents and some scattered minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.
