Manufactured in 1958, this is an example of a scarce smooth bore 22 LR Shot Model 61 rifle. It has a single bead front sight, grooves on top of the receiver for scope/sight mounting, the Winchester legend along with "-22 L.RIFLE-/-FOR SHOT ONLY-" on the left side of the barrel and the Winchester factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Mounted on a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish showing limited minor slide wear. The wood is also excellent with limited minor handling marks and retaining most of the finish. Mechanically excellent.
