Built on a 1935 production Winchester Model 70 action and chambered for the hard hitting .416 Rigby dangerous game cartridge. The barrel was manufactured without sights and is fitted with a slotted muzzle break. The caliber designation is on the underside, just forward of the breech. Fitted with swivel style scope bases and a Weatherby Imperial 2 3/4x90 scope. Mounted on a checkered stock with a gold inlaid diamond on the underside of the forearm, raised cheekpiece, and a vented Weatherby recoil pad. According to the consignor, this is a Roy Weatherby build.

Very fine as professionally assembled and finished with 98% of the high polish deep blue finish remaining. Displaying mostly light handling marks overall, brilliant jewelling on the bolt and follower and some light cycling marks. The stock is also very fine with attractive grain, rich color, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The scope is excellent with clear optics.
