Manufactured in the early 1970s by Howa of Japan and configured for a left handed shooter. Tapered medium weight barrel manufactured without sights, standard maker and caliber markings at the breech, and 3 3/4 inch wedges of gold highlighted scroll engraving on the sides just forward of the breech. The receiver is similarly engraved with gold fill and is fitted with swivel style Redfield scope bases and rings and a Redfield 3-9x scope. Jeweled and fluted bolt. The trigger guard is inscribed "B/R/F". Custom Lawson style left handed thumb hole stock with contrasting wood forend and grip caps, raised, rollover cheekpiece, sling swivel studs, and a vented rubber recoil pad. Includes a padded leather sling.

Excellent as custom built with a Lawson style stock. 98% blue finish remains with the receiver and bolt shroud taking on a plum hue, light handling marks overall, small loss of gold fill in the engraving, and clear markings. The stock is also excellent with a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The optics are clear.
