This rifle is built on a Winchester Model 1885 High Wall thick side receiver which is engraved by Master Engraver Lynton Mckenzie. He has signed the receiver on the underside: "LMcK." The action has a fine scroll engraving and game bird scenes on both sides of the receiver. Traces of the Winchester patent marking remain on the lower tang, otherwise there are no Winchester markings. The tapered barrel is an unmarked replacement and is fitted with a Leupold 2-7x Vari-X II scope. It has a single set trigger, nicely figure and checkered stock with left handed cheekpiece, engraved grip cap and Pachmayr butt pad. Comes with a C & H .243 Winchester die set.

Fine as professionally embellished. The barrel retains 95% of the blue finish showing some minor thinning and some patches of gray. The stock is excellent showing the slightest handling marks. The action has some patches of discoloration. Mechanically excellent.
