Manufactured from 1915 to 1940 with this example being chambered in the desirable .44-40 Winchester caliber. The barrel has the two-line address/patent marking on top, "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side and "44-40 CTG" on the right side. The S&W trademark appears on the left side of the frame, and the right side of the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A." The hammer and trigger are casehardened, the ejector is blue and the remaining surfaces are nickel plated. The cylinder and barrel are numbered to the gun. The frame and crane have the assembly number "81421." Fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips. The back of the right grip panel has the number "58577." According to Smith & Wesson experts Jim Supica and Richard Nahas, a total of 23 6 1/2 inch barreled nickel plated .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model revolvers were manufactured and are found in the serial number range 33763-33834.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus original nickel finish showing a noticeable cylinder drag line. The replacement grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
