Description:

Manufactured from 1915 to 1942. It has a pinned blade front sight, adjustable notch rear sight, standard markings, casehardened checkered hammer and smooth trigger and checkered S&W medallion grips. A Model of 1905 4th Change by serial number, the revolver has some 3rd Change features such as two pins for extractor alignment, ejector rod head and grip medallions. Note that target models were produced separately from the standard models and is very common for them to show characteristics of both early and later changes when the guns fall toward the end of an engineering change. The included factory letter states the revolver was shipped on 31 October 1916 to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Chicago, IL.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original blue finish showing a light cylinder drag line and barely noticeable muzzle wear. The hammer and trigger retain nearly all of the vivid case colors. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
