Manufactured from 1930-38. According to "L.C. Smith Shotguns" by Brophy, 2,375 guns were manufactured in Field Grade .41 bore configuration (page 177). This is the bulk of .410 production, but still only a small percentage when compared to overall production by Hunter Arms. Single bead sight on solid matte rib barrels, 3 inch chambers, improved modified/full chokes, single extractor, standard markings, dual triggers, tang mounted automatic safety and replacement checkered extension forearm and straight grip stock with a Pachmayr White Line pad. The stock dimensions are: drop at comb 1 1/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches.

Very good as refurbished. 97% blue finish on the barrels remains with light handling marks and some light forearm wear. The receiver is mostly silver gray patina with mottled darker areas, light marring on the screw heads, and slightly dished screw and pin holes consistent with mild, careful cleaning. The replaced wood is very good with a newer coat of varnish, crisp checkering, added pad, and some small visible impressions. Mechanically excellent.
