Description:

This is a very close copy of the Smith & Wesson M76 submachine chambered in 45 ACP and manufactured by John R. Stemple in Groveport, Ohio. This weapon is similar in design the British STEN and Swedish M-45 submachine guns. It is a blowback operated SMG with a round sheet metal tube receiver, and an all machined steel bolt and barrel with a perforated barrel jacket/barrel nut which holds the barrel in place. This is very convenient as it can be unscrewed to replace the barrel or even change it to another caliber. The magazine housing is marked "M76/45 JOHN R. STEMPLE/GROVEPORT OH./SN921". It has the standard fixed front and rear sights, and a rubber covered folding wire frame type stock. This lot does not have a magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 99% of the gray parkerized finish overall that is like new, maybe having been test fired only. A very nice short compact SMG. Note: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
