Description:

Manufactured during the Weimar Era, the Swiss 1906/20 was originally intended for export to Switzerland, but many wound up on the German domestic market or were exported abroad, with the United States among the destinations. Fixed sights, with the Swiss "cross in sunburst" on the chamber, the "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link, and standard commercial proofs. Straw finished small parts, and a nickel finished magazine with steel accent discs on the wood base. With a leather case with a blank inscription panel, which contains a pin punch, Swiss Cross-marked takedown tool, brass handled screwdriver/barrel brush, two extra magazines two 1936 dated packages of Swiss Federation labeled ammunition, a shooting medal from the Municipality of Moudon, and a spring loaded barrel sleeve for a gallery conversion kit with cleaning rod, loading spoon and approximately 37 rounds of loose ammunition.

Rating Definition:

Very good as professionally refinished with 95% of the blue showing some bright handling wear and rubbing of the edges, covered light pitting on the rear of the frame, a few dings on the left side of the frame and muzzle, and some loss of detail in the proofmarks. The grips are very good with some light dents. The custom case is very good, with mild verdigris buildup on the hardware, mild scuffing of the leather, and some wear and stains on the interior. The gallery kit is incomplete, lacking a conversion breechblock, and one of the cartridges shows damage consistent with someone attempting to discharge it with the regular breechblock. The boxes show some tearing of the labels and string. Mechanically needs work as the firing pin will drop on bolt detraction.
