Part of a limited one year run exclusively for the United States Navy, this pistol was part of a batch of 396 shipped from Colt to the Naval Supply Depot at Sewalls (aka Sewells) Point, Virginia (a component of Naval Station Norfolk) on November 25th, 1939. The pistol has standard markings and features including the correct Army nomenclature. Fitted with an "S" marked full blue magazine and a "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel with a large "G" ahead of the lug.

Fine as partially refurbished (slide), with 90% deep high polish blue overall, showing some gray spots on the dust cover, the beginning of a gray and brown patina on the gripstraps, and minor spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are also fine, with some dents and stains. Mechanically excellent.
