Dating to 1915 by serial number in one of Springfield's assigned blocks, the only markings on the frame are the serial number, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" nomenclature, and "H/G" around the firing pin; while not documented, it is a replacement manufactured by Colt, swapped out for a damaged or destroyed Springfield frame and numbered to match. Standard martial markings on the slide with an unmarked two-tone pinned base magazine and a "P" marked barrel.

Very fine, with 85% of the blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the backstraps, mild spotting, and some mild handling and takedown marks. The grips are fine, with some flat spots and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
