Description:

Round blade front and frame notch rear sights with S&W markings on the barrel. The under side of the barrel is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Matching serial numbers on the underside of the barrel, rear cylinder face, butt, and inside of the right grip panel. The underside of the barrel is stamped with an "eagle head/S2" inspection mark, and "eagle head/S1" inspection marks are found on the yoke and rear cylinder face. The upper left side of the frame is stamped with a singe "flaming bomb" proof. Smooth grips with standard model markings and lanyard loop on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 90% original blue finish remains with areas of muzzle and edge wear, small scattered surface scratches and minor nicks, and a slightly brown patina visible on the grip straps. The grips are very fine with small pressure dents on the sides and some deeper marks visible on the butt. Mechanically excellent.
