Description:

Manufactured in 1918. fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights with standard caliber and two-line address markings on the barrel. The underside of the barrel is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" followed by a single "H" stamp. The yoke is stamped "H/161469/Q" and the matching Colt factory serial number is stamped on the crane. The rear cylinder face is stamped with a single "H". The left side of the frame features an "eagle head/S18" inspection mark, and the Rampant Colt is on the side plate. Fitted with smooth grips with "U.S./ARMY/MODEL 1917" on the butt and a lanyard loop. The inside of the grips panels are numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 85% original brushed blue finish remains with some mild edge wear, scattered light spotting, mottled gray/brown patina on the grip straps, and crisp markings. The grips are fine with mostly small pressure marks and a few deeper dents on the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
