"DERINGER/PHILADEL'A" is marked on the breech plug (faint) and lock plate. The breech plug, barrel tang, hammer, lock plate and trigger guard have a floral scroll engraving. The forend cap, barrel wedge escutcheons and grip insert are German silver. It has a smooth bird's head stock with thumb escutcheon.

Fair. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with some minor pitting. The refinished stock is good with repairs and putty filler around the lock plate. Mechanically very good.

The lock plate and breech plug are marked "DERINGER." The lock plate, hammer and German silver trigger guard have a floral scroll engraving. The barrel wedge and lock plate screw escutcheons are also German silver. It has a checkered bird's head stock featuring a pewter forend cap and a silver thumb escutcheon.

Fair. The barrel, breech plug and barrel tang have a mottled gray patina, and the hammer and lock plate have a smooth dark patina. There is some moderate pitting. The repaired stock is also fair with an ill fitting lock plate and some worn checkering. Action needs work as hammer does not hold at the half cock position.
