Manufactured in 1977. This is a beautiful example of a factory engraved Colt Python. Featuring a Colt standard "A" grade engraving, with nearly one quarter coverage. Engraving is in a classic American style with tight scrolling swirls. The left grip frame is stamped "COLT ENG". Includes a factory letter that confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish, and the Class "A" engraving. The revolver was shipped as 1 to factory order #10695 on March 13, 1978 to Kamloops Distributing Company, Boise, ID. The letter also indicates that the revolver was shipped back to the factory on May 4, 1978 and reshipped on February 9, 1979 to a Mr. William Winkelman of Merrill, Wisconsin. Complete with a wooden case with a blue velvet lining, mismatched Colt "wood grain" factory box, and papers.

Excellent with 99% plus original blue finish remaining with only slight handling marks and a very faint cylinder drag line. The engraving is crisp and clear. The grips are as new. The case is very good with scattered scratches. Mechanically excellent.
