Manufactured in the 1880s with total production estimated at a few thousand. Adding to the rarity of this revolver is the factory engraving which consists of scrollwork and floral patterns with a game animal scene on the left side plate. Matching numbers on the left side of the frame under the grip panel, barrel and cylinder. It has the two-line address/patent dates marking on the rib, "38 CAL" on the left side of the frame, loading gate and folding hammer spur.

Very fine. The revolver retains 80% plus original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is some mild pitting (mostly on the cylinder). The slightly undersized grips are very fine showing a few mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
