Manufactured in 1947 during the Transition period (late 1945 to 1951). Hooded ramp front and elevation adjustable rear sights, receiver tapped for sight/scope mounting, Transition safety, polished bolt numbered to gun, cloverleaf receiver tang, sling swivels and standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver. Mounted on a checkered straight comb pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate. Comes with bolt hanging tags, "10 Commandments of Safety," two instructions pamphlets and factory box numbered to gun.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% plus original blue finish showing the slightest handling marks. The stock is very fine with a barely noticeable hairline stress crack near the upper tang, a few very scattered minor handling marks and a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with a missing short end, a repair shot end side and wear.
