Description:

Dated 1917 on the chamber, with the "DWM" monogram on the toggle. It has the standard artillery length barrel with the inverted "v" front sight with the adjustable tangent rear sight. The right side of the chamber has a set of three "crown/ gothic letter" proofs next to the Imperial Eagle firing proof, which is repeated on the barrel and breechblock. Standard military serial number placement with the full number on the frame, barrel and barrel extension with partial numbers on the other parts. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked upper safety position and extractor. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips that are numbered "13" on their back sides. It has a matching WWI magazine with a polished steel magazine body with a matching wooden base. It comes with a black artillery length holster that is dated 1918 inside, a wooden, flat board stock with a set of brown leather attaching straps and stock boot. The leather holster contains a unmarked reproduction tool and wooden handled cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the arsenal blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the muzzle, front frame rails, side plate hump and stock lug area. The smaller part retain 40% of their straw colors. The grips are in fine condition with nice distinct checkering overall showing light wear across the tops of the checking mixed with some minor nicks. The holster is in very good condition with nice black color overall with intact stitching showing light wear overall mixed with some scuffs and handling marks. The shoulder stock is in very good condition overall showing numerous pressure dents and dings on the sides. The brown attaching straps and leather boot are in good condition overall showing heavy cracking and flex wear. A highly desirable DWM artillery rig.
