Description:

A licensed copy of the Colt Government Model manufactured at Kongsberg for the Norwegian military, the factory and it's output fell into the hands of the Germans from 1940 through 1945. While manufactured during the occupation, this pistol lacks the Waffenamt (weapons office) stamps traditionally seen on weapons manufactured for the Wehrmacht; no documentation is available, but the pistol may have been intended for the use of the collaborationist "Quisling" government or police. Fixed sights, the slide marked with the "Crown/K" over "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 -- No. 28328" in one-line on the left side and "1942/B" on the reverse. The serial number in whole or part is repeated on multiple components. Fitted with a casehardened hammer, checkered grips, and a nickel finished magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% plus of the dark phosphate blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, a gray patina on the front strap, and scattered scratches and handling marks overall. The hammer, magazine catch and magazine are unnumbered and may be replacement parts. The grips are fine, with dome dents and wear. Mechanically excellent.
