This is a mid to late WWII K98 Mauser rifle that has been fitted with the short ZF-41 type sniper scope. The chamber is marked with the dual code of "bcd/ar" over the date of "42". The top of the receiver is stamped with the "Eagle/26" proof indicating it was manufactured at the Borsigwalde factory. The stock does not have any visible proofs. The scope and mount are marked "cxn/Z.F. 41/1" and "duv/(upside down) eagle/ 214" on the rear leg. Includes a leather sling. The scope rain shields are absent.

Fine with 75% of the blue finish still remaining overall with edge and high spot wear with blue loss/browning in on the barrel bands, trigger guard/floorplate and exposed barrel. The stock and handguard are both in very good condition overall with the stock having been lightly sanded still showing minor handling marks/scratches on the sides, with three larger gouges on the right side of the butt that have been filled in with wood filler. The scope and mount retain 90% of their blue finish with clear optics.
