This handsomely engraved and attractive matched pair is identical in almost every respect save for a few subtle differences. Fitted with single bead sights on the smooth concave rib with the AYA maker's mark, a small area of delicate floral scroll engraving and a gold inlaid number (1 and 2 respectively) just forward of the breech. The barrel flats and water tables are stamped with standard Spanish proofs, and matching serial numbers are on the water table, barrels, forearm fittings, and even the forearm wood. The vibrantly casehardened receiver features full coverage English style rose and scroll engraving with hand detachable locks, dual triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Mounted on rubbed oil finished, finely checkered forearms numbered to the individual gun with a gold inlaid "1" or "2" and engraved fittings. The buttstock features sculpted tear drop flats, a gold initial oval inscribed "HRK" (on both guns), and a solid rubber recoil pad. Excellent overall. 99% original blue remains with just a few light handling marks overall. The wood does have some small pressure marks on the buttstock and an added recoil pad. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with scuffs and dings throughout the exterior and small tears visible on the interior lining. A beautiful matched pair from a leading name in fine sporting arms.
