manufactured from 1894 to 1935. This rifle features a Rocky Mountain blade front sight and adjustable rear sporting sight, and two line address/patent dates marked on top of the barrel. This is a later model with the Aug. 1, 1893 patent date added and marked "MARLIN MODEL '94" on the tang. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope or sight mounting. The rifle has full magazine, with casehardened receiver, lever, hammer and buttplate. Smooth forearm with a metal forend cap and straight grip stock with a metal carbine buttplate.

Very good as modified. The shortened barrel and magazine tube retain 60% of the original blue finish with some minor pin prick pitting, high edge wear, and mottling to a smooth brown patina. The receiver, lever, and hammer retain 30% of the original case colors with some minor scratches, minor pitting, and mottling to a smooth silver patina. The buttplate has silvered out with brown speckling. The wood is good with scattered scratches and dings with areas of varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
