Description:

58x27 inches. The artwork was done by Robert Farrington Elwell (1874-1962) and has his signature on the right side. He illustrated some of the advertising and publicity for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and became Cody's friend and was introduced to Frederic Remington, Theodore Roosevelt, Annie Oakley (she even taught his daughter how to shoot), and others. Most of his artwork involves romantic scenes from the Old West. The banner was printed by Grinnell Lithograph Co. (active 1910-1940s) and has their marking in the lower left and "C.S. 59" in the lower right.

Rating Definition:

Fine with mild fraying at the edges, general storage type wear, and some minor staining.
