Manufactured in 1938. Fitted with a ramped beaded blade front sight and a filler block in the rear sight dovetail. The barrel has standard early style markings and the Winchester "WP" proof is stamped on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The receiver ring is factory drilled and tapped for scope/sight mounting with filler screws in place and the receiver bridge is correctly not drilled. The left side of the receiver is fitted with Lyman adjustable peep sight. Features a Griffin & Howe left side scope mount and a Lyman Alaskan scope. The floorplate is marked "SUPER GRADE" and the custom checkered bolt handle, of which the body is numbered to the gun. Mounted on a checkered pistol grip stock with inset sling swivels, hard rubber Winchester grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and a solid Winchester recoil pad.

Very fine as Griffin & Howe customized. 95% original blue finish remains with light handling marks overall, muzzle wear, light spotting, and some small pits concentrated around the muzzle. The bolt handle and extractor have been reblued and the knob checkered. The wood is very fine as freshened with some small gaps around the receiver, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The optics are clear.
