Manufactured in 1956; chambered in special order .358 Winchester, a caliber that Winchester offered from 1955 to 1956 to its Model 70 line. Standard Winchester markings, hooded ramp front and folding adjustable leaf rear sights, receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting, polished bolt numbered to gun, late safety, sling swivels and checkered high comb pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains nearly 97% original blue finish on the barrel and receiver showing a mixture of brown patina and blue on the replacement buttplate. There is a minor ding present on the left side of the receiver. The trigger guard is refinished. The refinished stock is near mint showing minimal wear and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
