The barrels are numbered to the gun, the lower barrel has the caliber marking and "BOHLER STAHL/Weichlet," and the barrel lug is marked "D.R.P." The vine and leaf engraved receiver has semi-relief engraved game scenes on the sides. The underside of the receiver has the Merkel address in an arch. It has beaded blade ramp and notch sights, half rib holding a 4x Unertl scope on claw mounts, horn trigger guard, cocking indicators, tang safety, double triggers with set rifle trigger, sling swivels are attached to the lower barrel and buttstock and highly figured forearm and pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering. The forearm is numbered to the gun. The buttstock has a grip cap, cheekpiece and factory buttplate.

Fine as refinished (barrels). The barrels retain 90% of the blue finish thinning to a brown with some minor handling marks. The action retain 85% of the satin finish. The freshened wood is very fine with a very small chip missing near the upper tang, some very scattered minor handling marks and some scattered blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The scope has clear optics.
